Boasting plunge pools fed by natural hot springs, thoughtfully designed tents with eco-friendly touches, and a gourmet eatery with an expansive terrace, Nayara Tented Camp offers nature lovers a unique indoor-outdoor lodging experience within the confines of a National Park.

Many of its 18 luxurious accommodations will have the option of linking together to accommodate two couples (or a couple and four children), and each will offer outdoor showers, air-conditioning, four-posted canopy beds, and spacious bathrooms with over-sized bathtubs. With a family pool and restaurant set to complete the resort, Nayara Tented Camp effortlessly blends high-end indulgences with a back to nature feeling, all set against a backdrop that is a photographers’ dream.

Why we like Nayara Tented Camp

While we are partial to sipping cocktails in plunge pools and photographing sunsets from forest terraces, it is proactive sustainability programmes and environmentally friendly practices that make us tick. With the goal of encouraging sloths to take refuge in a dedicated protected area of their land, Nayara have committed to planting 1000 guarumo trees (the sloth’s favourite variety) in the creation of an impressive new sanctuary forest.

Activities

Since the camp is immersed in nature, you don’t have to travel far to have up close and personal wildlife experiences. Despite that, guests can still feel the thrill of nature while white water rafting, canyoning or joining canopy tours. Those keen for an extra adrenaline rush can even hike the volcano or traverse hanging bridges, while would-be yogis (including those enthusiastic beginners who can’t quite touch their toes) can bring in sunrise with a morning stretch and meditation in a dedicated outdoor studio.
